It's sad. I wonder if our leadership even knows what condition some of the stores are in or are they perhaps mistaken that the condition in some of them is much better than it is?

The store is so hot, like if you're outside, doors don't closed properly, elevator and escalators. Out of Service. For more than 6 months. Customers complain, Management don't Care.
Last writer is probably getting a visit.
I think this all a case of which Macys are bad and what are good. The company has too many stores! The great profitable stores that have been renovated are actually quite nice. Then there are the old time capsules that are hardly even kept up. I think Macy’s needs to focus on renovating and cleaning their entire store fleet they want the keep!
Our store received new lighting and partial new carpet three years ago. The only areas that have ever been vacuumed are the vestibules and the area where they put Christmas trim. That’s right folks in three years this store has not been vacuumed. They go around with a little dust pan and broom and just sweep up debris. If you drop a box on the carpet you get hit with a cloud of dust.
When they were carpeting the store they ran out so the home store and intimates still has old stained torn and taped carpet that was laid almost thirty years ago when this this store was converted from Hone’s to Lazarus.
I wish I could attach a picture. We have visit often visit from executives all the way up to JG and they do absolutely nothing about this dirty torn carpet. The store manager is oblivious to it. I am waiting for a customer to fall and I bet they will take action
