Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

You can never make some people happy

Stock being the highest it has ever been is a good thing! That means that things are going well and we can consider ourselves safe and enjoy that relaxed feeling for now. No, it might not last but why do we have to start hating something right away just because it will change in the future? Some of you need to learn to live in the moment...

OP, you could have as well identified yourself as “im_becile manager trying way to hard to lift the morale of the expandable cannon fodder”.

Sounds like someone doesn't have a long term outlook. It's easier to live in the moment when you don't need to worry about the safety of your family's financial situation. All for living in the moment and enjoying life, but the company makes it difficult at times (where the frustration comes in). It's ideal to work for a company that will take care of you and yours.

No one in EM management cares about your opinion. Go get another job. You will be much happier. Just do it.

Everyone is saying that the grass is greener on the other side.

Those in PIP and laid off in December 2020 were "living in the moment."

Wrong.

You need to milk the cow during times of record oil prices while preparing your exit strategy for when the party is over.

That’s right, and then what’s the anger when people tell management what they are? Just I’ m saying !
