Union vote probable for Urbana Ohio.

The labor union, in its current form, is nothing more than a cumbersome and corrupt fossil of the 20th century. Unions cannot protect jobs that are eliminated. Honeywell is far too tainted with the poisonous deep roots from the cult of Jack Welsh. I recently left Honeywell and it's the best choice I could make.
So many absolutists.
Not all unions are good.
Not all unions are bad.
But you know what is always true?
Honeywell will take advantage of all employees until they start pushing back. So many here act like they think complaining and pouting will drive change.
If Honeywell says unions are bad it is because it’s bad for Honeywell, not the workers.
Unions are good. Business hates unions because it erodes their HUGE profits ( or the pricks simply pass cost on to consumer) but either way we need more unions to protect worker rights.
Honeywell and HR are immoral and without ethics.
It may come to a vote, but I doubt it will pass. Urbana has a high percentage of anti union employees.
Honeywe hates unions. When disputes arise they choose lockouts to get what they want. Green island, St.Louis, South Bend are just a few of the unionized plants that have been locked out in the past. Some these last a year or more. They would rather close your plant than allow a union there.
Plenty of capacity in Juarez. Document your duties in HOS and train your replacements.
Urbana was short lived anyway. Probably already slated for closure. Especially since they outsourced sales of most of the products to a 3rd party.
Expect your plant to close down and be relocated. Probably move to a state that has a right to work policy. Which will basically ki-l any union that you might vote in. Since you won’t have to pay union dues and you can still belong to the union.
Right now after reading this. The wheels are in motion to move your division. Please have a nice day and remember at Honeywell. You’re a future shaper. Your future may not be with us. However, you’re still a future shaper.
