Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Larger store vs. smaller store

I intend to move to another city and will most likely apply to another company, but it would be useful if someone could tell me how much better or worse working in a larger store is than working in a smaller Sam's store.

"High volume clubs are a sh-t show, on every level."

I agree with your statement 1,000 times over. High volume clubs are rebuilding everyday.
weekends are a nightmare. you have no 'control' as far as keeping areas zoned. paper, water, meat, produce, freezer/coolers are blown out. impossible for the few fresh associates that are scheduled to rebuild. exhaustion & burnout are constants among associates. even if you are lucky enough to have a crew of mostly good associates , it can't be done.
in smaller clubs you have the opportunity to breathe & get some of the little things done.
you can work at a reasonable pace. you can't lag, but you don't have to run yourself into the ground.
