Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Did any of you feel you could be honest on the employee survey?

Or did you just tell them what they want to hear for fear of repercussion? Personally, I said things are great here even though this place is the biggest dumpster fire I've ever seen, because I don't believe the responses are truly anonymous and I believe I'd lose my job if I were honest about how l feel.

It is not anonymous, and yes be careful, I know for a fact %99 of anything you vote or say essentially goes back to your manager who you might really like working with. They are the ones that get blamed by Upper Management, because if an employee is mad at the company it's the Direct managers fault for not selling them the Fiserv Koolaid hard enough. Upper management doesn't allow anything to stick to them or their pi-s poor decisions.

I would be careful. If you rate your boss low, they get rid of them. Then the new boss is told they have some malcontents to deal with. They are expected to remove a portion of the team in that situation

I filled out the survey. I rated my boss as high as I could. He is a great boss though. Not sure if his other direct reports agree with me on that. I also gave them two easy to reach targets. One of the targets was reached in the time I submitted the survey and the survey results were released. Never give your boss or your workplace a bad review even of they deserve it. Every one of the results is tracked and they know who wrote each survey.

My team was very honest on it. We learned afterwards that even though we rated our manager fairly well, the corporate questions completely shot his score. It's absolutely unfair to him. By the time the survey came around, I couldn't find it in myself to care about being fired.

I was totally honest about my manager's lack of time to assist me with any issues. She's too busy with D&I initiatives and any other volunteer thing. However, she said she didn't see the team's responses since survey group was too small (less than 5 people, I think).

No because it only counts against your direct boss. And my boss is a goo decent person. And if I don’t fill it out it counts against him. So I give all high marks, no comments and press send

My team received the full and complete unedited comments from every member of the team. I can say with certainty that we, as a team, did not hold back. Comments were all brutally honest and leaned negative. was shocked to have them share the full comments of every question but refreshing to see the same things repeated across colleagues.

My team was outsourced right when it was due, so we all laid into them. We were brutally honest.

Didn't fill it out. I knew top mgmt would twist to suit their needs and they did just that recently.

I was completely honest in completing the survey. If "big brother' knew who I was it really didn't matter because my last day because of the RTO requirement was 6/30.

I reviewed the survey results with my manager and was a down after reviewing the results from the previous survey. I was amazed that the scores dropped over 50% in most categories and about 60% of the team members said they would leave the company within a year.

Based on the extensions and multiple communications, there were barely enough employees that completed the survey

Here’s how the survey works, in fact all outsourced surveys work:

The comments are read by the third party. They do not score comments. In fact they edit what is passed on. Really negative comments are considered made by disgruntled one-offs and those are tossed. Frank never sees you bash him.

The two times I was brutally honest, there were team meetings shortly after where they asked us to discuss the specific things I said as a team. I kept my mouth shut, as there was no way if I talked about it they'd not think it was me. I'm pretty sure my boss knew, but he was big in preserving the veil of anonymity at least. But our team was really small - not hard to tell.

Negative. It is how could it be “anonymous” if your manager knows you did it or not?! Lol, think about it.

You are logged in with your 1DC…. Which obviously links back to you

Idc if it made my manager looked bad or not. I am not here to kiss a**. I was completely honest on it and trust me… not long after, I was treated like dirt. Oh well, this company is cr-p

One year my director and told me how I was to interpret the questions. Meaning even though the questions were written to be about the company, I was supposed to answer them at a team level. Nope, I answered them based how the questions were purposefully worded. I now know why, they are evaluated on how their employee responds to those corporate level questions. Which is crazy, line leaders are not responsible for corporate decisions and culture.

I haven't filled this out for 2 years and had no pressure from boss to complete it. If it would MATTER, I would fill it out but what's the use?

I filled it honestly with lots of criticism. Lets see what happens. I am ready for all eventualities

I lied on the survey and said everything is great, but then I immediately turned to the web and posted 10 bad reviews for Fiserv. That's what you earned Frankie

I’m aware of two mgrs that said some threatening messages to their direct reports before they took the survey

you cannot be honest. it is not anonymous, it is tracked and monitored. It's a trap.

It’s a bogus survey that doesn’t do anything to convey employees real feelings about the company and Exec Management. I didn’t fill it out.

Different company, but when I didn't fill out the anonymous annual survey, my manager a few weeks later told me that I had to fill it out. It wasn't that he was telling all of direct reports, this was directed directly at me. It was quite the confidence builder.

I heard even the N/A answers count negatively against your manager. There is no option to say how you feel about the company overall. Any negative answers only count against your manager.

The answers you give reflect upon your immediate manager. I respect and trust my immediate manager, so I temper my ratings accordingly. If I were to rate only Fiserv as a corporate entity, I would rate it honestly as the sh*t show dumpster fire it is.

Apparently there is no penalty for leaving the comment boxes blank and scoring everything as N/A.

They get there participation and you don't have to participate. Win-win.

It’s not anonymous. How do you think they roll up your responses to your leader and MC?

You will be tracked. Nothing is anon no matter what they say. Just look at Sapience and sending all your busy keyboard data to their attention.

I was called by 2 managers when I didn't complete it. I received a lame "all we know is you didn't complete it (presumably because you are logged in when entering responses) but we would never know who says what". I called BS, asked if it was mandatory and told it was not so I opted to not do it. I told them if you can't say anything nice....

The survey is not anonymous. A few years ago Frank pushed for 100% participation. A co-worker decided not to take it. Guy C called him.
