Maybe someone has more details about annual layoffs? Please spill the beans if you have any insights.

Mainframe BUs spent years outsourcing to Prague. They told American engineers that it would help keep the mainframe business alive and would be good for all. Then, they told us everything was going to Prague and one BU leader even told us we should have seen it coming. So, Prague is not working out. And they can't hire people in the US. Who is surprised?
More leaving MF and can't fill the reqs (except former IBM friends).
I guess it depends on the BU. In Moldyframe, they have plenty of openings and cannot hire anyone. They're practically begging applicants to accept the offers. More people are leaving than are being hired. It is sad, as it is entirely managements fault. They have plenty of revenue and a golden goose of a pipeline, but they cannot help themselves. It is like they feel compelled to make life miserable for everyone, almost like it is a company principal. Throw in a huge dose of cronyism from the former big bluers and you have a receipt for disaster.
Nothing specific but I’ve noticed weird behavior of my manager recently…. Look, the rankings were submitted last month. Any “3”s are at risk. Heard about 4q “challenges.” And vmw brings an entirely new angle to this where no matter what you’re ranking…
Bottom line be prepared as anything can happen and quickly at Broadcom, esp with Hock now playing hands on…. Expect chaos before year end….. you heard it here first…
