Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Yeah baby!

I left 3 yrs ago... and came back to see my sad friends post who are still lingering due to being too close to 'retirement'.

Best conversation I had with planning/procurement, Test Engr /Sys Engrs and my favorite PMs are that they have so much work to do they just bounce from charge number to charge number doing the least possible until they can bail. What a colossal sad environment to be in.

I knew it had to be better no matter the company. Since they capped the retirement calc there really is no reason to stay except for the friends made and every reason to negotiate for any 401k claw back you would lose prior to the Dec annual vesting cut of

look at this board, what a $hit $show....

I went back as the customer to my old facility. What sad place it has become. The poor souls left are like the walking dead zombies. So sad this company has turned into a money grad for the elite.

All the company does is give more work, even if the work gets completed before the deadline. They make millions of dollars and who get the money and time off, business people not doing any engineer. Business workers get the contracts and enjoy the luxury while the engineers, work and work. Managers should give 2-3 weeks if a project is completed earlier saving millions of dollars. Let's not talk about raises in engineering, halted while the negotiators got bonuses.

Problem a lot of employees have is they feel they have to do all the work dumped on them by the deadline given to them. The truth is - they don't have to do all the work given to them by the deadline given to them. These guys/gals need to learn to push back. Why are they bending over backwards making their managers look good? If things get too tough, call in sick and take a mental day off.
