Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

Love it or leave it

I have been with this bank for 20 plus years. I get a respectable salary, great benefits and have good working relationships with my peers and bosses. If u don't like it, stop whining and go somewhere else. Be positive and happy. You will live a lot longer

That's the crony who took my job and is still calling me after I left to come train his friends.

The OP is the same person that’s been posting all the positive comments. Looks like they just found this site and decided to they didn’t have anything better to do than to hop on here and troll.

Lol to the OP and to all the posters commending the “positivity”. Give me a break. This is a public forum in which people commiserate and complain about their wretched employers.

I think you may have mistaken this site for flagscape. You should copy and paste this beautiful message right on there so your name and picture can be proudly displayed as the diligent boot lic ker that you are.

This place sucks, steals from their employees, doesn’t give a hoot that the overwhelming majority would prefer to wfh and at the bare minimum have a hybrid option, and pays terribly.

I’m gone, so trust me, I’m not sticking around and putting up with it.

As much as we all wish we could Sp-t rainbows and fa-t glitter, the real world doesn’t simply make us happier just because we Decide that’s what we want at any given moment.

I was laid off once, I did not vent or complain; while it was deflating in the short term. My entire division was laid off. I used it as opportunity to turn it into a positive and went somewhere else outside of the financial industry that was very rewarding.

So what is the site for venting, if not this? Seems to me that layoffs naturally create venting, even just thinking about it, not to mention experiencing it.

I work in GIS and can assure you, this site is monitored by the bank. So anything you say here does get heard, for better or for worse.

Someone thinks one's overall experience with the company has no relevance to layoffs and says shut up-- ??

The website is here literally to discuss layoffs. This is not the place for sunshine and butterflies. Same goes for you: Don't like it? Then leave.

Venting, complaining, and speaking up on this site. How does that help you or the company? Do you really think speaking your mind here helps promote awareness by leadership. Take action to help yourself not mindless statements.

Woop-de-do! You’re the exception not the rule. Although I suspect your pay isn’t as “respectable” as you think it is. You’re probably the chooch who made a similar post yesterday that got removed for being inappropriate. Guess you figured if you added a few fluffy words, you could get your point across without it being deleted. I mean it must be exhausting to be the hall monitor for everyone’s feelings that don’t align with yours. Stop trolling.. you’ll live longer.

Oh so your experience and opinion is all that matters and since your happy the rest of us should be ok? I mean good for you that you’re in a good place, doesn’t mean the rest of us are or feel like we are respected and heard. They pay me for my work not for my silence. You seem like the type that thinks anything that doesn’t affect you isn’t a problem or that up and leaving is easy. Well clearly that’s not the case or the place that would be SOOL

The bank often touts that it is (or aims to be) a "great place to work"... Why shouldn't we have the right to denounce that this is actually not true? It's being incoherent. Many of us feel this way and it shouldn't be a secret. If we continue to work here it's because we care about the company and value our jobs, but most of us feel increasingly uncomfortable and frustrated with their decisions/attitudes as they directly affect our personal lives. It's our right to speak up without the political correctness that we have to show within the bank, and this is a great platform to do so. It's not whining for the sake of whining. There's a good reason behind. And yes, we can just leave but we are entitled to express our opinion first. They have to know that they're doind everything wrong, and making it worse for their employees. They are supposed to care about us and be interested in our perceptions, right?

So where is one supposed to vent? The “anonymous” survey? SLT that don’t understand what we little people and do not care what we do? Our manager?
That’s great you are happy.
I’m happy too. Just doing what i can do to get thru the day. I do my job and leave.
This is a great place to vent.
