Interview process - IT

How long does it take for an IT position to hear back from the interview on whether an offer is extended?

In general, Chevron notifies candidate where an offer was not extended?

If you’re a male, go to the interview wearing lipstick, eye shadow and a dress. Don’t forget the girly hand mannerisms, high voice and occasional giggle. If you’re a female, go to the interview with a man’s suit, shirt and pants, short hair and sideburns. Throw them off with a nose ring or tattoo in some visible place. Oh yeah, deepen your voice too. Good luck all, this is what Chevron IT is looking for in a candidate these days. And your wait time for an offer or rejection will be known to you before you get up from the chair.

@OP If you want to work in the IT field, there are better options than Chevron and O&G in general.

O&G lags every other industry by at least 10 years when it comes to the adopting of new technologies. This is part of why they’re always dealing with (successful) randsomware/DDOS/phishing attacks.

Entering or remaining in a stagnant/declining industry where the workforce is made up largely of men over 40 who know nothing about technology is not a boss-move. When you’re not rebuilding networks on the back-end you’ll be coaching middle-aged men with titles like “assistant VP of operations” on how to navigate Windows and install add-ins to an Excel workbook.

Usually 3 months max. Remember that the recruiter needs to submit your file to HR then they send the offer or rejection.
Sometimes if the candidate is a NO NO then the recruiter does even bother ot submit their file so the HR is not aware and the candidate does not get response.
I will advise you to reach to your recruiter if it has been few months.
