Any thoughts on loading up on stock today. We still have an excellent dividend and I expect the stock to drop today based on our lower guidance.

I expect the dividend will take a hit next and then Hans will be dismissed.

Run forest run.
Hans and the other members of upper "leadership" lost all faith from the front line. What in the world makes you believe anyone cares enough for this company now to perform or try harder to get out of this Ericsson like crash? Not going to compensate their employees during high inflation, issue 1% to 3% raises year over year that never allowed anyone to get ahead, but take immediate action to increase service charges? Yeah, no thanks. Sick of being lectured in these webcasts to execute, when you know they don't care about you living paycheck to paycheck. Maybe if they spent time and money finding ways to improve the lives of the employees instead of using it to promote wokeness we could get somewhere.

For once, in comparison, AT&T's dividend and yield look more promising than the company's.
Heck no. Dividend cut is next. Debt laden union bloat Verizon is bleeding cash. 5yee is a boondoggle too.
Which dip? This isn't the end, get ready for stock prices in the 30s
VZ has been underperforming for the last 5 years and leadership always spins the bad news like good news. We missed on revenue, net income, and EPS this quarter but at least we ran 1GB fiber to 80 schools on Indian reservations....
Leadership needs to start identifying who is responsible (competitors, front line employees, themselves, vendors, etc) and start making changes or the next 5 years will be no better than the last 5.
VZ does pay a great dividend but not enough to make up for these stats:
5 Year stock price down 7% (sp500 up 60%)
1 Year down 20% (sp500 down 9%)
6 month down 16% (sp500 down 9%)
Today down 7% (sp500 down 0.6%)
Investors will move their money elsewhere until leadership either adjusts or is replaced.
Dividend cut coming next. Verlieson is bleeding cash.
No VZ usually slides for several days after bad news. Lots of big slower moving money involved. If you still like the price this time next week then jump in. I personally think telecom in general is in for pain as the service quality is less diffent between carriers the service will become a commodity.
How often do you think about your electric provider?
- 5% dividend is nice, but don't expect any stock appreciation for at least two years when FWA can start making some real revenue contribution.
- 5% dividend is nice, but don't expect any stock appreciation for at least two years when FEW can start making some real revenue contribution.
There are better things to buy. However, if you must own a utility stock, then I guess you could do worse than Verizon with its 5% yield.
