You can thank Farley for resurrecting her career. After completely embarrassing herself early on in marketing, Elena was moved to Ford Credit where incompetent family members (ex. Edsel) go to serve out the remainder of their careers. Farley brought her back and used her influence to ride all the way to the CEO chair.

Farley got where he is in part by keeping his nose close to her back side.

Dear OP,
Perhaps you had the unfortunate experience of working with Elena. I worked with her for over two years and it was really bad. I have found some peace in knowing that she never knew her father, she was conceived out of wedlock, and it was probably difficult growing up Ford. She really hated her Wiki and after seeing how it has changed I realize that it important for her to be the first female executive from the Ford family.

Maybe this will help you.

I'm no fan of Elena Ford, but this article is old news...like 11 years old.
