I will be leaving soon, but still, I can't help but think about whether this could have been a much better place than it is now, if only the leaders had made slightly different decisions.
Where is this company even going? One of the reasons why I decided to leave is that I began to see more and more that there is no firm strategy and clear vision. This is a sign that employees cannot expect that things will get any better there.

Where is it going? Long term, they will move away from retail and the pharmacy benefits program will grow. They are moving in the healthcare sector big time to provide tele medicine and onsite testing at their minute clinics. They'll keep the minute clinics in the new owners stores (or build new free standing CVSHealth branded clinics, add a testing capability that Quest has today (huge margin business). retail is an ugly, low margin business, they may prop it up short term to make it more appealing to potential buyers, but long term, this CEO is more into the Aetna type businesses, high profit margins, and the are huge growth opportunities there. The pharma business is great and is a cash cow, I would expect they make a big push into the ail order side and launch an online pharmacy, connected to the minute clinic of course so scripts can be sent out asap. Corp headquarters will move to Hartford too in 5 years, Sell off empty Woonsocket buildings
Where is it going? It’s already there. It’s called he-l
The vision is clear and obvious. The leaders are out for themselves from dm all the way to the top. Dangle the belief promotions are for the taking while working the cr-p out of people with no sign of real promotions. Take advantage cut costs, lie, and do whatever it takes to make a name for yourself. That’s the cvs way.regionals sh-t on dms. Then the dms sh-t on store mgrs and rx mgrs. push the pressure down the line. As long as your not the guy at the bottom of the pipe where all the sh-t falls it’s all good
