Just curious if you believe Stankey can ever be successful at T if he continues to disrespect the workforce. I think most would say no, what do you think?

Yes, Stankey can continue to disrespect rank and file for as long as he wants. Some will leave but many have seniority they don't want to lose and will stay
T keeps reducing the annual operating expenses that are paid on behalf of the employees. T will continue to reduce this figure in order to apply that money to the debt. With T making a large capital investment in fiber, the debt reduction will be slow . Also, with the cost of loans to corporations increasing quarterly thanks to the fed trying to reign in inflation, T will continue to have problems for quite some time. I don't see any other major changes to Ts corporate structure anytime soon.
Good benefits? You've got to be kidding!
Yep, gettin paid but for how much longer?
Good pay, good benefits. Employees got paid. Stop being bitter for no good reason.
Bu-----p, he has robbed employees and retirees alike. He brags about how great he is, and he knows everything about everything. Just ask him. He squandered away $150B of company assets. Yet you attempt to defend him and his actions. T would be much better off without him.
It's not the rank and file that Stanley disrespects, it's the lazy and malcontents.
Employees should be considered an asset in any company. They are not at T, constant stress created by Stankey, threats of layoffs, no one is safe, too many mouths to feed. I do not think T will ever be successful with Stankey's leadership. Morale at T is as bad as it's ever been, Thanks in large part to Stankey and his poor leadership.
What is considered disrespect? He answers to the shareowners for his performance, not employee's. Employee's are hired to do a job, no expectation of anything beyond that. Lifetime culture in this corporation does not support all the oh so happy, feeling, perks and stuff. If employee's don't like it, they know what to do.
If you look at the stock- and realize Stankey was involved is so many decisions the past 5 years- you will understand the stock is going to continue to go down. He reduced the dividend for the first time in over 20 years and with inflation and interest rates and now the corporate tax higher and higher- he would best resign and tuck his tail between his legs on the way out. He is very old in my opinion and we need someone under 40 with new ideas. $T can’t even get out if their own way and no one can afford the increases at&t mobile is doing and are the reason T-mobile is kicking his rear. He has been here too long and he won’t change anything to make people happy. Is he going to take more vacations away? Give everyone a nice 1% raise? Lol. Worst CEO $T has had yet. Or at least doing shareholders wrong.
Yes, yes he can. He will continue as he has until he is gone. He knows no other way. He will not be successful by any means, but he could care less. T will continue to erode under his direction, that's a fact. How long he will hang on is anyone's guess.
Stankey is taking care of the worker, taking care of investors, taking care of customers. Way to go!
Can rank and file put up bad attitude, underperform and still get away with it?
I don't think I need to be near him to recognize his contempt for the employees of at&t. He seems to exhibit a special hatred for almost all employees of T. He scratched and clawed his was to the top with special help from Stephenson. He didn't change after becoming CEO, he was always arrogant and rude, stepping on anybody and everybody to get a leg up. If anything, he's gotten much worse after becoming CEO.
he continues to disrespect the workforce.
Who at AT&T is remotely near this guy? When I was there, the head guy was Randall somebody - I was so many layers away from this guy that he had no effect. I think I saw a video of him once a year at the code of conduct review. I got along with my 1st and 2nd levels, who were answerable for my performance, so smooth sailing. It was their jobs to worry about people higher in the command structure.
Yes, he does not care.
They may not respect dirty sweaty workers but they will pay you good money for it.respect is over rated
Eventually, the gravy train for EVERYONE will run dry. Stink will continue making T more and more Toxic, until it is not possible for him to extract anymore $. The megalomaniac loves disrespecting shareholders, customers and especially employees.
The BoD is also on the gravy train so they let the Stink run rabid.
The two largest shareholders, Black Rock and Vanguard are too busy elsewhere with the POC to force the Stink out.
Who cares?
I've got 38 hrs in already this week. I'll have 80 by Saturday.
But then I just try to run them out of $$$ and not get involved in corporate politics or drama.
I'm here to make $$$$.
And have the past 33 years.
