Ford is not eliminating jobs but rather moving those jobs to India and Mexico.

At this point it is so distracting, I just want them to do it. Just get it over with.
The company will have much easier time defending itself against targeted firings if a really large number of people (25 %) are let go.
Surgical? How could you be surgical when you're talking those kinds of numbers?? Asking for a friend.
IDK our LL5 told us we would all be safe. Who knows if he is being truthful. In legacy ITO. LL5 did cut 3 agency in the non-reported layoff. To be honest he could cut 50% of the people. We have many career coasters. Unimpressed with LL5-LL3.
When a company does layoffs like Ford is doing, it becomes one huge clusterphuck. The unaffected people at the top give out a directive, pull the pin on the grenade and throw it into the HR and Legal offices. HR has to do the dirty work by creating the list of names with or without department input. Then Legal makes sure Ford can't be sued because of targeted firings. The folks at the top wash their hands of the whole disaster not giving two sh1ts whose lives they potentially destroy. They pretend the whole thing didn't happen and for them, life goes on as normal.
I was told cuts will be surgical because of the large number of people that will be let go. I took away the feeling that there would be no voluntary cuts and that there was probably some debate going on
This Management team has no clue. Employees are not focused on Quality, Production, or whatever buzz word management likes to use. Employee’s are focused on how they will pay their bills and feed their families in the future. So much for a “Family Company”.
Amen! This is B.S.! Our current leadership are a bunch of clowns.
