WOW you union people are just nuts! I am VZ, not in the union, have a 401K at, wait for it, wait for it... $3,569,842.12 as of this posting.. with the Biden Down Turn! Then I has SS that will be 3K per month... then healthcare via uncle sam and my add-on.. My home is PAID off.. my two kids out of the house! Wife has her own solon that made it thru the lockdowns and is makes a 14% P&L... Have a Tesla and a hybrid (all paid off)! DANG I am sitting good and I don't owe noth'n to a darn union! Thank god I learned to manage money in college so I don't have to bend over to unions to do it for me! Unions are for lowbrow dunderheads that can't think or educate themselves... in other words, they need to union to get them out of a wet paper bag!

Only the ignorant would say if you hate it so much, just leave. 250 shifts left for healthcare for life and pension, would be as d-mb as the person that says leave to actually leave.
Healthcare and $20k per year of service on the pension for the buyout no matter how many years you have and half the company would be gone by Friday.

I am union and feel shackled to Verizon by the pension and health care promise. we are not like normal employees who can come and go as we please. If I could do my career over, I would not have picked this horrible grind in servitude.

Actually they could layoff or hire depending on the contract so that's why this would be important for a layoff site. Be you really knew that didn't you ??
Verizon wireless has its own subsection. Verizon is the landline side. The only layoffs in the landline side are management. Chances are, the company will give better updates than the union will. The union is too woke of a joke to have spoke.
This is a layoff site not a contract site. Try somewhere else.
This is what happened last contract extension back in 2018. Talks started on June 16th and ended on July 20th with an agreement. Back then they originally said they would bargain for two weeks but it took a month to get a deal. This is all normal and I would think we will hear something by this Friday.
