This site is the best place to get inside info and truth about Boeing. Most every other site is part of the Boeing propaganda machine. You just have to ignore the massive down voting done by the corrupt Boeing PR slimebags.

Calhoun is just the most recent greedy smuck who will only hang around long enough to get his golden severance package.

A little late to comment, but I would have said he will say nothing important, as usual. Anything of importance is said to shareholders meetings and never to employee meetings. Employee meetings have always been just to reiterate what has already been said publicly.

Boeing is in a bad situation. I’ve never seen Boeing having financial difficulty in which they cannot layoff enough people to get in the black.

Now they’re in a situation where they actually need to hire people while losing millions of dollars every quarter.

Most experienced people know that as soon as Boeing gets whatever job they are hired for finished, i.e. Air Force one, boeing will immediately lay them off so no one’s interested. A lot of people retired or got out of the aerospace industry. And not many are interested in an aerospace career given the volatility.

The only interesting thing I got from his message was that Boeing is working on sending a spaceship to Mars. Doesn’t he realize that Elon Musk and Space X are well ahead of Boeing in this venture?

the stock is down 44% this year and the Boeing drones still want to pretend that Calhoun, the execs and BOD are doing an awesome job. They should bring back Dennis M

Yup, it will be the well-orchestrated Boeing PR BS we have now come to expect and intelligently ignore. Boeing needs to stop the hemorrhaging of Boeing stock price that is now down 44% year to date. Word is the majority of high level people are planning to leave within next 9 to 12 months and they need high stock price to maximize their severance packages. The bankruptcy announcement won't be until after then.

Fo-e score and 7 years ago today we envision a Boeing company that will be a market leader in every segment of the airline industry. Yeah right those days are long gone Boeing has no new products to compete with Airbus or Comac. We are screwed.

I say again why lay people off?

  1. People are already leaving
  2. Everyone is threatening to quit if they are required to come back to the office. So, force people to come back and let them quit, it saves on severance packages.

Then they can use the money they saved to give themselves bonuses.

He will say the future commercial airplane market looks great and Boeing is making progress resolving the problems that has plagued the company. Of course, the vast majority of future commercial market share will be going to Airbus and COMAC, and there is little Boeing can actually do to remedy their last 25 years of systematically destroying Boeing's engineering culture.

Moreover, most potential customers who are not fatally pregnant with Boeing airplanes like Alaska, American, Southwest and United do not want Boeing's obsolete, poorly manufactured and unsafe products.

Almost certainly an announcement of a layoff, with managers notifying the employees the next day, 6/15, and pink slips on Friday 6/17. Too bad.
