Thread regarding NCR Corp. layoffs

Happiness is..... leaving NCR

If I could sum up my few years here, I think the right word for it would be - misery. I was stuck here and now that I have given notice I finally feel some relief. I don’t think there’s a single person who hasn’t drastically improved their quality of life since he or she left this joke of a company?

Right now things are not good. Even in a busier market like the Northeast. Whatever NCR decides to do so be it but very disappointing seeing some of the recent layoffs. Especially legacy former Macys Tech CEs that came over 3 years ago. Most of the comments I hear from other CEs and my Team Lead are how the Macys account is an afterthought and not nearly as important as others. This is true in some cases and the ticket count has dropped, thanks to a change in Macys Help Desk process. Working on network calls can be torture for those that have done them due to how unpredictable they are. Don’t mean to rant but sadly I would welcome a RIF right now that’s how bad it’s gotten. I am looking for something better and being proactive.

I'll second that. Been gone for a year now and havent felt so free in over a dozen years. I was picky but found a new job in a little over a month and dont have unethical, unrealistic, untrained, untalented, unfair kiss S ncr managers riding my coat tails taking credit for my work anymore.

Omg. So true. I’ve talked or emailed w almost a dozen that have left, every single person is so much happier and can’t believe it took them so long to leave. You don’t realize how badly you’ve been abused until you step away.
