Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

No…not every company does this….

There are American companies whose CEO gave up pay increases, paid bonuses to front line workers or similar good will…..most are privately owned…
Coincidentally, those companies usually have the best customer service or results because those employees are truly MOTIVATED to work hard to see their company succeed…
Allstate s@@@ws their employees every chance they get and is it any wonder that the Allstate customer is treated worst in the industry??????
I would not want to have ANY Allstate product right now!!

I’ve been at my new carrier for six months now and been in one on one meetings with several directors who wanted to learn about my career goals and help me succeed and move in the company. Never had anything like that at AState.

At my new employer, a different insurer, we just had a teams call all about the best way to grow & get promoted within the company. Basically said we know our employees are the best, we want to see you succeed and here’s how. At Allstate when I applied to move up, I was asked, well, who do know?

Get out of insurance. And don’t stop applying until you do it.

Their customer service is atrocious. It became embarrassing to work for them and I stopped telling people where I worked. I was glad to get away from the madness.

It happens at a lot of companies. It happened to me at CIT, The Howard Savings Bank, First Fidelity, AIG and now here. I’ve been through it enough to know when the end is coming. It’s coming. And no matter how prepared you are for it, it still hurts.
