Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

What's up with Commissions?

Software Renewals. Pretty much the only part of the company that is making money due to covid. However; haven't had a comp plan in forever and haven't been paid commission since January. Been promised every month it's coming, it's going to get fixed they say. What the he-l is going on? Why is it so difficult to pay people? People are talking class action or taking the last 3 weeks of July off and not doing any sales. Seriously, what is going on? Number 1 company in the world to work for my a-s.

Their answer to not getting commissions paid is to sell more. I personally have over 80M in backlog. That backlog will not ship for likely 10 months. Most teams that I am in contact with say that there is no way possible that they will make their numbers. We have been told to take PTO to get it off the books as its a liability and the end of the quarter. What happens in Q1 when there is no longer PTO to take, Sales have stagnated due to lead times, deliveries are 357+ days out and all hiring is frozen? There will be RIFs for sure and they refuse to admit that it's coming.

Cisco does not care about the employee only the bottom line. If the company cared about you getting paid, they would have given you real raises and not manipulated your money.

only get paid commission after the product gets shipped. Being that we have ~1 year lead times on so many products, you'll get paid.... next year. Software often doesn't help when you need the hardware to use the software.

All I have to say is Blackrock Investments and Chucks loyalty to BR and not Cisco and certainly not to you.
