Actually, a lot of Ford positions will be going to suppliers right here in town. Ford somehow convinced the suppliers to go to a Full-Service Supplier status. The supplier will handle everything including the warranty. Bad News - Good News - Bad News.

There will be cuts however, we will be able to get jobs with the suppliers right here in town, but the after about a year, the suppliers will find out the warranty is a HUGE uncontrollable lability and will not want to supply Ford. The suppliers will eventually have cuts.

Are we sure it is June 16th? I keep hearing mid July and mid August as target dates. But then again they are getting better at not putting anything in writing and not communicating downward until the last minute. Maybe they learned a lesson from IBM on how not to get caught doing age-discrimination.

The next action is to not renewed Purchased Service contracts. They all expire at the end of June. Almost none will be renewed.
