It is sad what this company has turned into. Does any of the decision makers here care about the quality anymore?

Turned into? It’s been a quality disaster for decades.
Dashboards don’t differentiate between the checkin of one line of code versus an entire feature. There are no metrics for bugs added or uncorrected in those marked resolved. There are no metrics for regressions. There are no metrics for code that actually works. There are major incentives to do a bad job and none to do a good job.
Why is there a post here every few weeks from people who think they’re the only super genius in the world who only now has figured this out? Zoinks.
For good quality we’d need good SWE. If you were a good SWE, would you come work for Cisco?

For these days no one care the works on the chart. Only things make your manager standout got attention and resources. Engineers not make your leader shine will get ridiculous amount of tasks dump into their plate. No learning needed once you assigned you magically become the expert.
