Whose side is our HR on?

Because it certainly doesn't seem to be employees' side.

Please remember that HR is there to protect the company/org at large, not employees. That is it a knock on those folks - it’s just what their job IS. Do not say anything to an HR person you don’t want to get back to your boss, etc. They’re there to protect the bank, not you.

HR hates the working employee as much as management does. HR is an extension of management and always has been. Not sure why employees think anything different.

If there were any good HR people they are long gone now. They all got laid off years ago. Now we are stuck with HR chat bu-----t.

HR has never been on the employee's side of things, they are charged with keeping the reputational damage and any perceived discriminatory employment practices to a minimum, their day will eventually come when they terminate the long term employee that has the ability and financial incentive to fight back
