What are the plans for GRC with the split up of GE into three businesses? Is VA moving back to Renewables a bad sign for the future of a separate GRC?

I hear Smitty may be the new VA...
I left GE but I’m nosey I suppose, is VA leaving GRC?
Most of the newer technologies developed at GRC don't even work. Power has been on the receiving end of dud after dud for years now, and I was glad to hear our management stopped funding those science projects that never worked as promised.
To the extent that GRC can continue to stay funded, why not keep it rolling? Either as a part of Aviation or Power. The collective GRC workforce is aware of plenty of sensitive GE technology. It makes sense that GE would want to keep control over that information. Dependence on non-GE funding will create a new and different culture, a lot of those changes are already happening. And if GRC swallows their pride and starts pulling in small and useful projects from the businesses again, where the businesses actually control the project activity, the businesses will come back.
The future is bleak! There is no future at GRC or at either building here in Schenectady. We just stand around with brooms in our hands most of the day and collect a T Rate pay check with no pension and high healthcare costs.
GRC will be relocated to another GRC.
