Thread regarding Ford layoffs

NDAs. Why??

Are layoffs this summer going to be very significant? I keep hearing that LL2s had to sign NDAs. What’s the significance of this. They have never done this in the past.

The NDAs are because of the leaks earlier this year. When it leaked that the LL5+s got 136% while the LL6 GSRs got 54%. Due to that leak they had to change it or face a mass revolt.

Kumar took us all to task in a Townhall for the leaks.

So now they don't want the LL4+s to leak details of the layoffs. So NDA. Heaven forbid someone gets a heads up that they are on the chopping block.

The "OGC computer algorithms" you are referring to is the poor configuration by the Data Loss Prevention team. They allowed data to be transferred and then went after suspected individuals instead of blocking data transfers entirely.

If you have that software on your laptop now, it's too late to download any personal files as your keystrokes and emails are already being monitored by the OGC. So going forward, use caution while using your laptop. After I was told I was SRD'd, before exiting, I
wanted to save (to USBs), some personal stuff: vacation pix, a few funny emails, and HR's separation forms that they sent. I didn't want anything else that wasn't mine. But the laptop's USB feature no longer worked. So I emailed those docs to my personal email address.

On that final day in May 2019, the OGC called the mgr and told him I had recently sent out numerous emails-some with ford docs attached to 'em - which might be corp trade secrets. The mgr hauled me into his office, told me what the OGC said, and then stated I'd forfeit all benefits if I didn't immediately show him all those emailed docs. I was hurt and angry from being SRDd that I just didn't care anymore - so I showed him those emails. He was beet red from embarrassment when he saw the vac pictures, the funny emails. And even more embarrassment when he figured out the OGC computer algorithms mistakenly identified HR's separation forms as alleged trade secrets. What a bunch of losers. I did keep my emails and benefits, and the OGC got off my back. No wonder ford's recalls are up and stocks are down. They're so busy looking for a fictious needle in the haystack - they haven't realized the hay is gone and there never was a missing needle to begin with.

Just give a date and it get over with. I am trying to complete my last year's at Ford. It gets harder as you get older and get all the cr-p jobs. Just pull the plug. I am ready.

"They have never done this in the past."
Sure they have. You just haven't been in the position to need to sign one.

If you pay attention to software being deployed to your laptop and your laptop behavior you will have a clue that you are on the hit list. They deploy software to limit what can be downloaded, emailed and such to the hit list about a month before the hit.
