Not sure if accurate but LinkedIn showed a 46% increases in business development headcount in 2 year for XOM. Sounds like a major problem to me if there are more business managers than people who can actually engineer and operate.

There is ever more performative verses real engineering going on. Also a lot of people who know nothing or washed out of management in these groups. This would include all of the Clinton retreads.
Nice. I think you were just able to reverse engineer the timing it took people to update their LinkedIn profiles after there was a reorg where a new company was made that was literally called Upstream Business Development.
