Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

How can anyone work like this?

Every week I hear about people being laid off. It’s going to be a constant trickle for the near future. Are they trying to force attrition when plenty of people are already trying to leave? Pathetic how the company always goes on about employee well being yet this is how they choose to treat us.

Many states have laws (Calif. is one) that requires employers to announce layoffs publicly if the number is over a certain amount. So what do they do? They do layoffs in "streaks" numerically UNDER the reporting threshold, so they won't have to report laying off, say, 500 people if they do it in "runs" of 75.

Management ALWAYS knows how to do end runs around the rules and regs-that's what corporate lawyers are FOR.

Did you guys think that because you were working for a bank that you weren't going into the sausage grinder too?

Poor kids....

My friends, the issue is not so much black to white, or Left to Right...it's TOP to BOTTOM, and the sooner you learn this, the better for all.

If Starbucks Barristas can unionize, what's the matter with you? Too snooty in that bank for that kind of thing? Oh, what a meal they'll make of you!
