For those who have signed up for Honeywell COBRA insurance, I’m curious about how the sign up process works.

I skipped COBRA and went right to Obamacare. Since I was laid off, I had no income and that made the Obamacare subsidies keep the cost to a little less than $500/month for my wife and me. The coverage was as good and sometimes better than the HON coverage. Your mileage may vary.
I had about 6 months of GAP coverage before Medicare coverage. It was cheap. it was a bit of a gamble as i think it was a 70/30 Coverage.
@lvj you are lucky to be single, at least on this matter. Married with family, depending on your options, it could be up ~$2k
OP: Go the the HR website and review the medical portion of your benefits and you can find the info for COBRA coverage.
If you are 12 months or less from Medicare you can buy gap coverage. I had a few months between end of Cobra and start of Medicare. The gap policy is cheap BUT.... it doesn't cover pre-existing conditions. If you have those go the ACA route.
I had to follow-up with them several times before I received the information. Cobra for me single coverage is 614. Obamacare is over 2K. Cobra isnt a bad deal for me.
You will receive full details once you are separated from the company. It may take 2-3 weeks. Same as anything else though. You pay (A LOT of) money, and they insure you.
