It made me laugh when I read someone's post saying that contractors outnumber full time employees at Shwab... But then again, when I think about it a little better, maybe that's not so far from the truth? Shwab definitely has no hard choice between contractors and full-time employees.

I gotta ask, because I don't know if it is just me. I have a hard time communicating with offshore contractors. Its like they don't speak English. I'm talking about answering their questions in MS Teams via IM, not in real-time face to face video. So they can take it slow. There is a bit of asynchronouosity built-in there.
They are forming English sentences, but it isn't coherent. I have no clue what they are asking me. And when I try to reply with an answer, they have no clue what I am talking about. What is this??? Is it just me?
10-15 FTE, 30-35 offshore folks, 15-20 onshore contractor folks per manager
@1vcb+1hojAtmr well that is good news for you. In my case, there are no onshore contractors in my org. All offshore. A fuckton of them.
They are mostly onshore contractors billing $75 to $120 per hour. Technically they are called contingent workforce. Not to be confused with Delta Force. It's Contingent with a C. Offshore staff are classified as entirely different thing. Thing.
@ctb+1hojAtmr unless they are offshore making $20-$30/hour. Then it is a very, very bad thing.
This is generally a good thing, from an employee standpoint, when it comes time for reductions.
