Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Applause

What a pain this new recognition is. Can’t they just put $100 in my next check as opposed to getting all these emails and signing up for a temporary Mastercard? I also find it odd that my recognition relies on MY PEERS recognizing me? Does this company have to complicate EVERYTHING?!

These losers complain about everything. If they put half the time working than they do complaining it would be a step forward

Why the objection to PEER recognition? To me, that’s the best part of the new system. It rewards people who are human, helpful and kind to everyone, not people who only “manage up.”

Don’t forget about the rankings! This is really offensive. “You’ve been recognized x times since June 1st. You’re #399” or whatever.

If you are a U.S. based Allstate employee Applause should be the least of your worries at this point.

We get harassed daily about giving our points away. We get told if we don't give them then next year they will lower it. They have to take anything that could be good and totally destroy it.

You get taxed when you use it too, so that $100 gift card is really $70, lol!! You best be using that juicer, got keep the pounds off for Tommy’s annual BMI /waist/blood pressure check up on the wagies!!

Applause is awesome compared to our no budget recognition for the last few years, it's a positive step from zero, be grateful you get any Glenn crumbs peasant

It is more COS theology and needs to stop. I’d like to give Tom Wilson a $25 credit toward a juicer. At the same time he can give us part of his 6 million dollar quarterly bonus. Biggest joke since the Allstate swag bag

Is your morale not improved?

Someone (or some committee) in HR leveraged the scheme into a few promotions and BTEs, and probably netted themselves some sweet, sweet, 2.5% raises!

Our department stopped doing Applause beginning in June. Along with our recognition budget being cut. Applause was okay when we had it. Pretty straight forward.
