I have a question, does anyone miss Mike G? From my view, Hock is a much better CEO. While I may not agree with everything he does, he knows how to run a company and really is present. Something Bike Boy never did. I still remember the time I was in the office in New York going to lunch and he got on the elevator and said "Good night", he was going home for the day at noon. How does everyone else feel?

I know people that worked with him and they said the same thing. He isn’t smart and was just in the right place at the right time, multiple times in his life, so whilst he is not smart, he is lucky. Most people that worked for him don’t have anything positive to say about him. Lazy is the common word used to describe him. Low IQ and EQ, but still, managed to make a pile of money.
I know people who went to high school with him. They never thought he’d amount to anything, but he did - Mikie Gregoire cashed in to the amount of $50 million.
CA never would’ve survived under his leadership, the timing of that exit was right. While he is a failed CEO in the eyes of most people, he can say he sold the company at a premium. He was lazy and arrogant and so were all the sycophants that worshiped him. I don’t miss CA under his leadership, but do miss the people. Broadcom is not a great place to work at all, but still better than when it was with him at the helm.
he was hired to sell the business...duh
CA had been irrelevant in the IT space for decades...
I’m at VMWare now and stumbled across this post while ki----g time and just laughed. Forgot about old Bike Boy. He was probably worse than Sanjay and that says something doesn’t it. He was the guy who complained about employees working from home whilst he was working from home. VMWare was good while it lasted but all good things come to an end.
@2sdx+1hueoneN Sanjay definitely has to be #1 on that list. Bike Boy is definitely #2 from an employee perspective, as he basically got 80% of the company fired while taking a huge payout for himself.
Of all the CEO's we had at CA, I would say he was either the worst or the second worst.
Bike Boy was there for the pay out. He was a good face but that was all. Still, he got a great deal for himself and no longer has to deal with the plebs.
I once asked Mike a question in a meeting and got a 20 minute answer that covered everything. Interesting experience
This made me laugh out loud. I’ve never thought about him once, he was and is a pompous a$$.
huh? please get help.
