DOT Now Needs to Watch FAA

https://finance.yahoo.com/news/1-u-watchdog-audit-faa-045316000.html

Things have gotten so bad on the Boeing manufacturing line that the DOT needs to closely watch the FAA who needs to closely watch Boeing. Reckon no one can be trusted to follow specifications and manufacture a safe product. But who will closely watch DOT as Boeing owns the best people in government that money can buy?

Boeing’s been taking shortcuts with certification for years. Part of the justification for the 737 Max and 777x was so that they could grandfather the certification and save time and money.

The FAA has already commented on the lack of experienced people in this area. Instead of actually developing a staff of people familiar with the requirements they simply grandfathered the certification to eliminate most of the paperwork.

After being burned by Boeing and the outride lies regarding the 737 MCAS system, the FAA wants to review everything to see what else they might have lied about. Can anyone blame them?
