Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Well done ELT "Our people deal" yay!!

MRR updated - July 1st

People who were in MRR zone 2, fell in zone 1
(Some people did)

Bonus remix in effect - Aug 1st

People who were in MRR zone 1 after MRR adjustment earlier come back to zone 2
(everyone has better base now with lower bonus)

——

Company gain: no need to adjust MRR

Employee gain: hardly any gain as they are receiving same TC as before (except for penny adjustment based on best ipf in last 3 years).

Company loss: what loss?

Employee loss: everyone who has stayed here in hopes of better pay some day, lost that many days/months/years waiting.

Market reality: most companies are paying so much more now a days, Cisco is busy in gaming with MRRs.

Dear Cisco Employees: The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.

I’ve seen a lot of my co-workers leave for other companies like VMWare. Attrition is high for those who want to work. I’m sticking around because it’s easy to hide and do nothing. Time to hit the lake!!

New hires make a lot more than old timers. Fact.

The best predictor of future behavior is past behavior. If you’ve been at Cisco for any length of time and aren’t seeing the pattern yet, maybe pattern recognition isn’t your strong suit.

The is a huge employee loss due to inflation and the erosion of buying power as well as the reduced bonus next year.
