Thread regarding Ford layoffs

For those who are worried about getting cut

Do you think you will be able to find a new job before your severance runs out?
The biggest reason for the concern of many is that it will take them a very long time to find a new job, considering the overall situation on the job market.

I wasted the 1st 5 yrs of my career worrying what if I get laid off what if I can’t find a new job. Afterwards I stopped worrying and have enjoyed the last few years more than the 1st five. Relax and enjoy your current job if u get laid off worry about it then.

Don’t worry. Those who are relieved from ford will not be able get a new position as other companies know that those employees lack the right attitude and skills. As long as they feel entitled they will have to face it.

People will be able to find new jobs. I was a contract employee at Ford and got cut in
April 2020. In March 2021 I started a new contract position at Ford. For almost a year I
learned a lot about finances and how to make my money work for me. I almost thought I could make things work out without having to back, is when I received the new job offer, I wasn't sure if I wanted to go back! having the time off and learning a new skill set, finances, was pretty nice. A little taste of what retirement will be like, like me tell you, it was pretty sweet.
