What is IT's role within Verizon Communications, Corporation? Question(s): to reduce costs to improve the bottom line, help assist the accretion of Verizon's revenue [top line growth], both, or what else??

It's just a matter of time before all of IT is outsourced, probably when the Infosys contract ends.
How IT commodity help match prices of the other competitor, $27.50 for each wireless line and minimum two (dos) lines for $55/monthly plus the same regulatory heavy taxes. The others, have union or not union?
Verizon's IT strategy is backward looking and European facing. Just as predicting the European model for predicting hurricanes in contrast to the US modeling to hurricane predictability. Which is better, either, or none??
So, how does the fierce, competition, strategize and operate, IT?? Presumably, IT, as a commodity, is an industry standard, the same as with Verizon?
Hans views IT (GTS) as a commodity that can be purchased anywhere, hence the worse leadership, the most dysfunctional, and the worse morale in the company.
