A general strike isn’t a good idea. You’re used to 2 years of no significant layoffs where even those who really were terminated for cause received a generous package. We’re all grateful to Todd but that era is ending now.

A strike for something so superficial as not wanting to come in to work is a guaranteed displacement with cause, no package and likely clawback of bonuses.

Paying to get to work is a relatively new thing in mankind’s history. We used to all have our own shops and trades but that all changed about 100 years ago with the Industrial Revolution… particularly with those newfangled horseless carriages. We all saved money working from home for 2 years or so. I know that I saved a ton of money and paid off a lot of debt. Don’t tell me you squandered yours…

I love how people automatically assume things have been just fine the last 2 years. OP that said the EC is terrible is spot on. But playing devils advocate, just because I think I have done a great job from home doesn’t make it true. Maybe we have and maybe we actually haven’t. Who has the factual answers to all this?

This is post pandemic and not prior pandemic. Stop living in the past and realize the evolution of the job force.

Maybe we think the EC has done a terrible job the past few years

Maybe the EC doesn't believe things have been fine the last couple years and doesn't think people are doing as good a job?

But there is no good reason to be in the office. The past 2+ years have taught us that the bank functions just fine when people are not in the office. Perhaps some groups need the face to face but most do not.

I'm pretty sure you were paying for gas, toll & parking prior to the pandemic!

Gas wasn't $5 a gallon then.

Uh… you pay for it like you did before Covid? Did people forget that most employees used to commute 5 days a week? People are unreal.
