No more high hopes. Honestly, I was hoping that our leadership would finally start thinking of the company's future, but it is obvious that they only think of themselves. Is it possible for NOV to once again be the company where it was actually nice to be working? I think now only a miracle could turn things around.

To be fair, Pete also had the benefit of a huge offshore oil bo-m before fracking really got rolling. Selling lots of $XXXM drill ships, floaters, and jack ups with high margins was a different game. We could afford lots of Norway content and Houston and California production facilities. Now it’s cheap land rigs with a lot more competitive pressures
Hasn't been the same since Pete Miller left. Pete cared for the employees more than current upper management.

It's funny, I think the company is the same as it was 10 years ago and 20 years ago. The only difference is that the industry grew past it. Everyone acted the same, but there was so much money coming in that no one did anything about the insanity. Now that there is no money coming in, the insanity is all that is left.
