Seeing them lay off employees once again based on how much somebody is making and not based on their contributions proved to me how little Dell cares about us. We're nothing but numbers here. I know this is not exclusive to Dell but I also know for a fact some companies know that employees are their most important asset and not just an expense to cut whenever they feel like it. Hopefully, some of them are currently hiring.

Exceeded quote 3 halves in a row. By a significant amount. It is not based on performance at all. It is just a spreadsheet numbers game. I cost the most. It doesn't matter that I bring in more revenue. I don't have control of my quota. But if you exceed it too much, your cost per $$$ of revenue goes up. Funny one of the jobs I am going for was a significant pay increase. I actually thought I got paid fairly well. Boy was I wrong. Wish me luck.
High paid individuals should be worried. They do not fit the model Dell has of high volume low margin sales.
I'm not so sure that is entirely true. Plenty of people not 50 being let go and plenty of people over 50 are still there..I am one.
It's a sweatshop. If you're in a senior role and 50+ age, you are targeted for layoff.
