Thread regarding T-Mobile layoffs

Done

So I’m sick of my position and I’ve been actively applying internally. Long story short I’m putting in my 2 weeks. Should I bother to ask to be laid off instead? If yes please provide tips and recommendations!

Thanks y’all

For the ntac person. I worked with you closely as I was in ATS before being cut. If you want to stay get in with the management still left in ATS. While they didn't cut that version of ATS stupidly I don't see how they can do the job with what is left which means possibly moving over there.

I’m in the same situation but I’m not sure how to approach it. Any advice?

Just please be careful with how you broach any of this with any employer, particularly now. They could take a seemingly innocent question and turn it into a legal basis for "well they quit so no severance for them". Ideally consult an employee-rights attorney, like I did for my severance at a previous company. It brings great piece of mind if nothing else.

I’m part of NTAC so idk I feel like they’re holding on but there has been zero room for growth for me tbh

I would at least ask your manager if there is an opportunity for voluntary separation. Wireline has voluntary a severance package available.
