Thursday 15th is next round, 1000 I heard from my friend in HR, be ready ..
Back in the old Bell days they used to call it Octoberfest for a reason. They're was a time when you could easily be hired by a business partner or Avaya customer. Those days are mostly over, so, sit back, ride the wave hope for the best and be thankful your employed.
EMEA & APAC coming in the next few weeks. Then back around to NA & CALA after 10/1 and before or just after Q4 reporting. Just a guess.
I would predict it will be an ongoing process. First "round" was only a "round" as it was spreadsheet driven. Certainly, did managers take liberties to be able to identify team members they personally did not want? Yes. However that was only due to each group being given a number to meet. They needed the first big one immediately for the 8k filing. Moving forward there likely will be focus on who is part of the new business plan and who is just extraneous to it. This will result in individual layoffs on a regular basis. It will only feel like a "round" if/when they conclude one area is it strategic as they build the plan. And obviously, EMEA once they are ready based on country rules.
Mainly, will they wait until next year or can we expect it sooner?
