Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

A.E.S

A.E.S (Associate Engagement Survey) is now available on the Wire. Regardless of how you feel about the survey, take it. It’s the only way home office will know what’s going on in your building. And yes, most people will say it doesn’t matter and nothing changes, but, feedback is important and your Club Manager has to answer to the results.

The HO does not care. Year after year the club manager will try to tell you how to answer the questions the way he wants and year after year the scores will still be abysmal. If the company really cared, then changes would have been put into place to correct the complaints. Any and all changes made by the company over the years have been for the worse. I honestly don't know why we continue to bother with this futile exercise.

Much how I like to drive in real life is how I answer the survey right down the middle.

At my club there are 2 departments whose AES scores have not changed in the last 6 years. But are the most vocal look at us take care of us group.

As for the anonymity part a few years ago I chose not to participate. All the way up to the last day you could take the survey I was asked if I completed it.

One, the AES is about as useful as a screen door on a submarine. Nothing will change based on the scores. Two, no matter what they tell you about anonymity, they can identify how you filled out the survey.

I spent 10 years at the Home Office. One year (I'm guessing around 2012) the scores were so bad leadership kept delaying giving us the results because everything (mostly) was well below industry averages. I always loved the question "Would you recommend a friend or family member to work at Walmart.' Hahahahahahahahahaha.

Did my survey, most of my answers were either disagree or strongly disagree. Of course I don't really expect anything to change or get done. If anything changes would probably be me for leaving all negative feed back and them trying to push me out the door, even though I am looking elsewhere.... been with this company 10years now and seems to be just getting worse every year.
