Guys, remember. If you were put wrongfully on a pip with unreachable goal you can file for a lawsuit. It is very important you say your age, so attorneys see there is a pattern when putting people on pip.

Only 4 weeks? I can't believe any performance issue can be ameliorated in 4 weeks. Sounds like a plan-to-fail-you.
I talked my way out of one recently (mid year review) - but next real review is end of year. So well at least he's not eager for me to go.
That said I can't keep up with being assigned the subsystems those leaving orphaned (you know - in addition to all existing work)
Not a Quiet Quitting opportunity either as he's comparing me to others that are totally sucking up the cr-p ton of extra work being ladled out. I work hard but there are limits.
If you're asking why don't I leave ? Like the younger in our group are? Well, my long-planned early retirement is in 2 years. So I'd like to keep my 5 weeks vacation (always negotiate!), health care switches tough for wifes medical needs, stay on their (now very limited) retirement bennies. Contrast to job switch for just 2 years with all that entails.
Can I work hard (yes, hard, but just) enough to not ki-l myself and not get PIPd for 2 years? Dunno. Sh---y market time (retirement funds down 20% - market) for a few high draw years right at the start.
What is PIP?
I can't believe people turn over information to strangers. Could be competitors but definitely outside people. what do you gain from doing this?
