Giving notice?

Does anyone know if USB has a policy regarding giving notice?

Honest question: how would their keeping the balance of earned time up to that point not be considered wage theft?

If you don't give 2 weeks notice they won't pay you for your unused earned vacation

Consider when you give your notice as it will effect your health insurance coverage if that is a factor.

Don’t worry too much about it. There’s no “requirement” (still be as professional as possible) and if you’re leaving to go to a competitor there’s a good chance you’ll get walked out the door the moment you give notice. Give a couple weeks notice if you want and give yourself a bit of a mental break before your next role, if that’s why you’re leaving. What are they going to do in those two weeks - fire you? 😂

If you give 2 weeks and they don't want you to show up (going to another bank) you will still get paid, so not really a reason not to.

I would never give two weeks. A week is plenty and no one at the bank will care.

There is no policy on notice. Two weeks is customary, but there is nothing legally or policy wise holding you to two weeks.
