Have any of you landed a new job?
I've had some interviews and am hopeful something will turn into a job offer. Until then, I keep applying anywhere and everywhere (including outside of the auto industry).
I'm still optimistic that I'll land somewhere before severance runs out and I won't have to dip into savings.

Companies are still hiring so good luck everyone! You will land a job better than the last one! Just be patient and persistent!
First, I am very sympathetic to those who lost their jobs. I hope they all find better employment soon.
While I haven't landed a job yet, I did stumble upon an opportunity before the SIRP started. I used this site to give me advanced warning and started a quiet search. I had an interview today at barring some unseen event, I should have a new job within a month.
No offer letter yet on hand yet but was told by HR and hiring manager an offer is being prepared. Should get it this coming week. Another interview seems promising in turning into an offer, again should hear something this coming week. I expect to be employed by 1st week of October at the latest.

And I hope everything went well with your spouse's surgery.
No time for me to even finish my resume in Right Management site (spouse very complicated surgery). With the old resume I applied for one job. Yesterday there was the interview; today I signed the offer.
Hope you and the others who were let go land on your feet. Seems like some pretty good jobs out there right now, and I've seen a couple of employees who got shafted land somewhere better already.
