Please dear God turn off fox news, OAN or Alex Jones! Its ridiculous how triggered people are over taking time back for yourself. Time that the company is not owed. Why stick up so hard for a company that will lay you off in a heartbeat? Are people that far gone?

Not sure why people attack 9 80s so much. People are still working the same amount of hours with 9 80s. Nothing "cushy" about it. If you are still working 40 hours a week then who cares when they are worked. If any blue collar people are jealous then I invite you to change careers and do white collar work. Its not woke or all that Fox News, OAN Kool-aid being guzzled by some , newsflash they want us lowly employees back in line serving the wealthy like has been done for generations, to actually put in 40 hours a week and take time for family. I vote all jobs become salaried with no OT pay. We'll see how patriotic and "freedom" loving some will be when asked to work an extra weekend or long hours for completely free. Just do it for the good of the company and 'murica!!!

No one in any position is "going against people just putting in 40 hours" at all. Not management, not anyone. However everyone I know with a work ethic is quite aware of the pathetic losers who are using the "quiet quitting" sham and other trendy feel-good woke garbage to slack off and not do much of anything, much less a solid 40 hr workweek, even with our cushy 9-80 and the WFH days allowed. Of course, on the other hand many of those woke losers do more harm than good when they get involved in much of anything so maybe that 's a blessing in disguise, lol.

@5pnh Yeah right the people going against people just putting in 40 hours a week are definitely not for just working the paid hours. Not sure what the deal is but I'd like to see more blue collar jobs become salaried and see if they would be as Gung ho about working over 40 hours for free with a chance at being laid off at any time. People are working their full 40 just not giving more for free.

@3mzq, No one asked you to work more than your 40, Just that you get off your A$$ and start actually Working your 40 instead of having others pick up your slack is all.

People who want to work extra for a company and management that will lay you off as fast as they can to raise the dividend a penny are brain washed. You get nothing living to work. We are paid 40 hours a week. Give your full 40 hours and thats it. The company isn't owed anything else. Anyone who thinks the company is owed more probably would like to go back to early American laws (pre-civil war) and are more re d neck when it comes to education.

@2nxz, I'm pretty sure that the HiPots you speak of have an infinitely better "life" part of their so called "work-life" balance than the majority of the losers who post on this site will ever dream of, but don't let that stop you from dreaming and whining, lil fella.

If you're not a HiPot and they'll tell you if you are one, you're wasting your time work extra. It won't be recognized. As I've been told in the past, you need to know your role.

The mistake that's made is that those who choose to invest their lives in their careers (mostly high pots) can't understand those who have true work-life balance. This behavior is fueled by management who wants nothing more than for you to work 10-hour days, spend another two in traffic, answer emails 24/7, and then work from home on the weekends, just like they do. QQ is just a return to normalcy.

Uh, No one's shaming anyone for doing their work, nice try. They're being shamed for not doing their work, slacking all the time and letting other's pick up the slack. Those who let work be their whole life cannot fathom those who work to live. We get paid to work 40 hours a week, why should I check emails before and after work, log on during the weekend and vacation when we aren’t getting paid for it? Just because you want to donate to a company doesn’t mean I have to. I could careless about climbing the corporate ladder, I work to pay my way of life and they get what they pay for, period.
