More lay offs are coming at the end of September . Hertz has quietly been doing layoffs since January. Not until August did the numbers spike significantly assuming to blend in with all of the other layoffs that are happening. Hertz does not want the negative impact of a mass layoff considering Covid Days therefore they are laying off a certain amount at a time. With so many people being laid off at the same time the market is flooded.

Yes there giving early retirement to the ones that want it like Dallas Tx Hertz handing out checks to leave now. Approaching the next rounds of layoffs
As we go into the low season there is no demand. Thanksgiving week and Christmas is the only sign of life. Expect 400-600 people being let go by month end
We need to find jobs for the CEO's Goldman Sachs buddies.
Need to cut costs so we can rebuild the IT department, we only have 10 VPs, when we should have 20. We don't need people to do the work as we will be fine with a strong top level.
We are so short staffed for the past 2 yrs in Phx, and they keep saying they are hiring for our busy season inc for the super bowl but so far nothing.
