still hiring for our team in SC but only take remote people from cheap places and none in SC. I've got a feeling they are trying replacing people from expensive places either via attrition or rif because remote work can be anywhere. can't blame them, I would do the same if I was Mike

No, still here and the rest of us are still here also. Most didn't even know layoffs happened and upper management made no mention of it during all hands meetings.
on my neck of the woods "DD" they have been busy promoting their friends and families while the good people started to do the "quietly quitting" or have left. myself literally working 1 hour a day just to move things along. data protection almost has no innovations since the de-dup days. nowadays same pig putting on different makeups! ddve onfrem, ddve on cloud, ddve scale out, ddve on kubernetes. ok maybe that distributed raid block is new but not a new concept. jus cash cow living off from the DD hw but eventually it will dry up!
