Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Can we talk???

Beyond words. A CVX talk show? What in the actual _ _ _ _? I can only hope that at some point she’ll offer the Jerry Springer edition of this drivel, because that would at least be entertaining.

I shared that email with a psychologist friend of mine. His assessment: crazy and narcissistic.

I am still laughing. File this under #### you just can’t make up.

That email went straight into my junk folder. Hard to believe we waste time and money on c__p like this. We’ve truly lost our way.

Uh-oh. RM has ordered her flying trolls to down-vote all the negative reactions...

WTF, a talk show? Aren’t we an oil & gas company. Ideas like this are a total waste of time and when these are the ideas that come from people in management positions, you know they have nothing positive left to contribute. For the benefit of Chevron, get rid of that person asap.

RM sees the end of her aweful career and trying everything that can save her face before she is shown the door. They will kick her out in a nice way but everyone inside the company knows the truth. She is trying to save her image for post Chevron life. Everyone knows she can not survive anywhere without Uncle Mike help.
The worst possible combination is arrogance and stupidity coupled with incompetence. It is like giving a kid a g-n. She had this g-n for so long and just lately the serious casualities of her incompetence became visible not only inside Chevron but to the whole world.
Adios RM

“I’ve been out for a few week for medical…what is this about? Talk show?”

Well, dear colleague, let us bring you up to speed, and please note: this is not a joke or an exaggeration; this actually happened earlier this week.

RM launched a “talk show.” Literally that is what she called it. She proceeded to “interview” her “audience” (again, she used that word).

Now, I can appreciate the need to connect with employees to discuss current conditions, mental health, and other issues. What I found truly appalling and reinforced my opinion that some of these senior leaders are truly out of touch, is that the optics of this activity were seemingly not considered. This came across as RM’s vanity project or delusion of grandeur. In no way, shape, or form did it do squat to help the average employee who is drowning from the mental and financial impacts of high inflation, paltry raises, ever-expanding duties with fewer people, continuous layoffs (some under the guise of realignment), inadequate professional development, and so on.

At this point, one has to wonder what the h*** happened to che Chevron we all knew and loved, a company with integrity, capable leaders, and sound decisions. This is utterly frightening. We have lost our way and continue to promote id--tic initiatives rather than getting back to basics and incorporating innovation.

This is not innovation; it’s laughable self-indulgence that unfortunately the rest of us pay for.

She knows she is lost. Another self serving initiative to put a lip stick on a pig using the company resources. She is a waste and people are still leaving. She is venomous and she intoxicated the whole company. The whole HR function need an overhaul. It is just incompetency from top to bo-m. MW needs to get rid of her before she takes him down with her. It is not if, it is when and it is just a matter of time or matter of change in the oil price.

I guess it’s true, being on TV adds 10 pounds, but for her it’s looking like 50 pounds. Not only am I concerned of the money we blow on her, but she is surrounded by other high paying employees there. I see a bunch of people not working. I am sorry I am tuning out, I got a job to do. This is embarrassing

She is getting ready for her next gig to take over for Oprah :)

And yes she is making more like $2 mil. As sad as that is with this weird vanity project. Really they had the gall to call it a talk show. WTF, really WTF.
