There is a rumour circulating that certain groups will receive e-mail on Monday to work-from-home Tuesday September 27th. Apparently there are some managers with too few reports (ie 4 or 5) so these groups will be amalgamated.

Our group just received the e-mail. Work from home Tuesday. Stay by your laptop.
Maybe HR should let the employees nominate a Director or Manager for a layoff. If they get to choose which ones of us to layoff maybe it should work the other way around as well. There might be some obvious trends.
As long as they get rid of managers and above who cares.

They’ve made plenty of managers under Sr. Managers with 3-4 direct reports. Layoffs should correct this.

My Sr. Manager retained his title while all four of us technical reports dropped down a level.
