Anyone have any tips or anyway of knowing if you got a job while the PDC is happening? Workday is new to me, but looks you are given application status

There are times when selections have to be unwound due to unforeseen circumstances. Real-time notification is not desirable as the final selections aren't known until the end of the process. I would counsel patience.
You’ll know you have the job if you got the hiring manager to moan before cu----g. It’s all in the technique, more than the approach. I’ve been here for 34 years, so take this advise from a pro.
@4pks Shows that you don’t work at chevron. It’s not the next day. It’s longer and like another thread the reps are busy or forget. I am not the only one, others want to know real time
My PDR forgot to inform me once. I was too embarrassed to ask after leaders all around the building starting congratulating me, without mentioning which job I got. I played along, of course. I finally found out weeks later when the offer letter came. Holy cow.
@3tgy Agree, they should create a dashboard so that people like you can have instant gratification and don’t need to wait an extra day; totally agree that it may trigger anxiety and it would be Chevron’s fault to put you through this. How can they be so mean to employees!!
How about they use the digital tools they advertise and actually make a real time dashboard where you see the statuses of job. Or maybe each candidate has its own dashboard where it tells you the results. This thing of waiting and then hearing back from 1 guy when is free, there is room to improve this
PDR will notify you within the week after your functional PDC. You can always ping them via email if you haven’t heard anything by the end of the week.
I usually Whatsapp my PDC rep during the meeting so I know what is going on!
If you haven’t heard by now you didn’t hear anything.
Well of course I usually check on thelayoff.com when I need answers to questions about the future of my employment, or lack thereof, lol.
Nope, no advance notice. You get notified by your boss once the PDC is over.
FE and Ops are lucky to have so many overseas openings these days. Other functions are bleak.
The only indication is….Hello, you were unsuccessful!!! Goodbye
If you watch your Workday application status during PDC week (in My Applications), you’ll notice it changes as each posting is discussed. If you are not selected for whatever reason, it will change to process completed for that application. For jobs where you are still in play, you’ll see Interview, Under Consideration, or Review depending on what stage they are in the process. You should get an email on Saturday letting you know the final decision.
Patience, grasshopper. Plenty of great jobs this time around so no need to fret. Everyone will get something nice I reckon.
Workday application status don't count. PDR will verbally tell you if successful
