Any layoffs in information security? Relatively new to company, less than 6 months, and am a little concerned with everything going on.

To the OP, this company is not a place to put down roots and stay. Get trained, update resume, move on. More money and job satisfaction almost everywhere. Look around at the unfortunate ones that wasted their careers here, do they seem happy or are they overworked, under appreciated, unhappy, and looking for an exit ramp. It's why they have so many early retirees. These are not rich people with a golden parachute. They are workers that have been over stressed for decades.
Got canned last week. It’s coming.
Cannot talk about information security out of respect for the company but overall, if you are not funded and allocated on a project, you are more likely to be outsourced or let go. Look at the departments that are being let go - these are functional support jobs. If you want to last, switch to a role where you are on a funded project. We switched to the Big Six consulting paradigm a few years ago.
I'm interested also. I'm hearing rumors, but nothing confirmed.
I've been at the bank for a long time in ISS and am actively seeking external employment.
Time for a change, it feels different this time with the new external executive group.
